Teddy finds himself in a coma after a horrific hazing incident during football practice at a summer camp for the Walthorne Wildcats. This novel is told in different points of view including his parents, his coach, the coach's daughter, teammates, and even Teddy's thoughts in the hospital. Each perspective tries to put together what led to his injury through text messages, newspaper articles, dialogue, an online forum, and what Teddy remembers.
