The flightless Kakapo parrots had at one time numbered in the millions.They're most unusual because of their size (not the longest, but the heaviest parrot) and the fact that they bury their nests underground.Now 14 scientists are working to save the remaining 91 parrots, located on a small island off the coast of New Zealand.
