The Vanderbeeker family has always lived in the brownstone on 141st Street. Suddenly, their scary recluse of a landlord, Mr. Beiderman, has told them they have to move out. The five Vanderbeeker kids devise a plan to convince the curmudgeon of a landlord Beiderman to let them stay.
