Peter doesn't fit in with his loud and obnoxious family, even after they move to the country because of the incident at his last school. He escapes to a tranquil, enchanting valley when he needs quiet. There, he forms a friendship with Annie who is also trying to escape, but for different reasons, as she dreads upcoming cancer treatments that could alter her life forever.
